About

What does it mean? How do you say it? These are the common questions I get when I tell people about phyrax.com well here’s a quick rundown on a few common questions.

Phyrax (phy · rax) [fi · raks]
Phyrax is a type of ancient flame. Only druids and high level mages were able to create this flame in ancient times. The one and only way to create this ancient flame was to chant for hours on end to the Blu Flame gods of the eastern sky! After hours, or even days, the creation of phyrax will be completed. Though the magical flame can change to ice by the mage with the proper skills, it has yet to be completed for some unknown reason!

The real truth behind Phyrax

The name itself simply strikes up immediate imagination in the reader. In truth, Phyrax itself has no meaning. It’s more about imagination then anything else. The purpose of web and graphic design is to have an imagination. Without that, the web would look the same, and art itself would have never been defined.

Phyrax’s purpose

Phyrax in and of itself, has absolutely no purpose. It is just my personal portfolio of graphic and web design I do on the side. However, tutorials and such are a way for me to express what I know with the world. If I’ve at least taught one person how to do something, then I’ve accomplished my goal.

The Phyrax Blog isn’t just for me, I encourage users to sign up and create their own tutorials also. I’m not trying to trump over top of other sites, I’m more looking for my little niche in the web!

About me personally!

Well there’s not much to say that hasn’t already been said. I’m 22 living on my own, married, and got one beautiful baby girl, when at the point of writing this, is 10/months old! I’m actually getting ready to go to Colorado Technical University after my ASBA (Associates of Science in Business Administration) starting in January of ‘08.

I currently do web design on the side and help people fix computers when it’s needed. At the time of writing this, I have one Client for web design, I actually update her site monthly or weekly, depending on when the promotional material comes in.

Web programming (not design) and graphic design is my favorite fields of study, which I do on my own time. I love setting in front of the desk coding for hours on end with my trusty cup-o-java near my mouse hand! On average I can type 68WPM, I’m not the fastest, but I get things done.

I’m sure there’s more I could add to this area, but for now, I’ll leave ya thinking!
